Finance Assistant

Salary: £33,000-£35,000

Hybrid Working: 2 days onsite / 3 days from home

Location: Swindon, SN2

Bonus perks: Free lunch when in the London office, study support, and an excellent benefits package

Are you passionate about sport and looking to grow your finance career? A global brand within the leisure and retail sector is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team permanently. This newly created role offers the rare chance to work (around twice per month) at two of the South of England's most iconic sporting venues. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential. Mileage will be fully reimbursed. Don't miss this unique opportunity to be part of a world-class events environment.

We're looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Finance Assistant or Billing Analyst to take ownership of revenue reconciliation and accounts receivable processes across a busy portfolio of food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

  • Reconcile cash and revenue generated during event days
  • Prepare and issue invoices
  • Manage credit control activity
  • Support monthly P&L reporting
  • Produce accurate, timely financial reports for internal teams
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and project-based tasks

This is a brilliant role for someone eager to gain wide exposure across both operational and finance teams. You'll work in a fast-moving environment where event schedules keep things varied and engaging, and you'll play an important role in ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong numeracy skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident user of Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and formulas)
  • Studying toward or holding an accounting qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliability and the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in an event-led, fast-paced setting

Location:

Hybrid setup split between the London office and home working. Travel to sites across the Midlands and South Coast is required roughly twice per month.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £33,000-£35,000 per year
  • Professional development and study support
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Food and beverage discounts
  • Regular social activities
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Pension scheme
  • And plenty more
