Job Description

Prestigious property company are recruiting a qualified by experience finance manager to work 2 days a week based in their luxury offices. Working closely with the MD you will be responsible for taking financial ownership for the accounts department. You’ll be great for this role if you are both a credible business partner as well as a technically strong accountant. Ideally you will have used Microsoft Navision.

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Ownership of all financial reporting including monthly management accounts and annual statutory requirements
  • Full balance sheet reconciliation performed monthly (AP ledger, AR ledger, Fixed Asset Register, prepayments and accruals)
  • Weekly AR review
  • Management of the Payroll (liaising with external payroll bureau) and Pension scheme - (7 members of staff currently)
  • Processing changes, reconciling payroll reports, arranging bank payments)
  • Transactional finance
  • Payables (circa 80-100 invoices/transactions p/m)
  • Billing/Receivables (circa 6-10 invoices p/m)
  • Credit control
  • Expenses management
  • Arranging supplier payment runs (weekly) & key monthly payments (PAYE, pensions etc)
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT return (digital submission)
  • Preparation of a bi-annual budget
  • Ownership and presentation to the Board of the monthly live forecast, together with bank reconciliations completed weekly
  • Ad hoc strategic management projects
  • Continuous review of policies to ensure best practice is being adhered to
  • Key contact for bankers, auditors and key suppliers
  • Ownership of NAV
  • Responsible for reporting compliance with Companies House, HMRC and other governing bodies (including TPPO filing requirements)
  • Preparation and ownership of P11d returns
  • Assist with owners’ personal tax returns (liaising with external tax advisors)

Profile:

  • Qualified by Experience accountant
  • Ability to adapt working style to think and act strategically, whilst maintaining control focus and also ensuring attention to detail at a transactional level when appropriate
  • Previous experience of using Microsoft Navision would be beneficial
